'The Secret of the Sacred Scarab': The Story of Two Young Boys Whose Fun Trip to Egypt Turns into a Dangerously Exciting Quest

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Sitting in history class studying ancient Egypt, cousins Justin and Adam Sinclair never could have imagined in their wildest dreams the adventure they would find themselves on together while vacationing in Egypt.

Author Fiona Ingram is proud to announce the release of her new action-packed adventure novel, "The Secret of the Sacred Scarab" (published by iUniverse). From the moment Justin and Adam's plane lands, strange things begin to happen to the boys. From a scruffy peddler in the city of Memphis handing them three ancient scarabs to meeting Dr. Faisal Khalid, the sinister head of the Egyptian Museum who seems a little too interested in the boys' newfound relics. The boys have a sense that not everything around them is normal after stumbling into a secret room beneath the museum to find men feverishly packing what look to be ancient artifacts into wooden crates:

The men were packing what looked like statuettes and pottery into a
straw-filled box. They seemed to be in a hurry because they kept
looking at their watches and whispering to each other. Suddenly, the
sound of sharp footsteps, boot heels clicking on the stone floor,
approached the boys from behind. They just had time to duck behind
some boxes on either side of the false doors, where they could hear,
but not see, the newcomer. He snapped at the men in Arabic. There was
no mistaking that voice -- it was Dr. Khalid.

What would happen in the days following would be a whirlwind of events that would prove daunting for both boys as they travel down the Nile and across the harsh desert in their search for the legendary tomb of the Scarab King, an ancient Egyptian ruler.

Join Justin and Adam as they evade their captors and unravel the secrets of the Scarab King. Relying on their wits, courage, and each other, the boys must solve the mystery of the sacred scarab while rescuing James Kinnard, the missing archaeologist, before their time in Egypt comes to a screeching halt.
